Welcome from the Director

It is with pleasure that I extend to you a warm welcome to Thalun International School Yangon Myanmar. A good school is not about the facilities and resources; however, it is about the people and its core beliefs. Thalun’s core beliefs are represented well in our Vision and Mission statements. Thalun International School inspires students to fully develop their personal and intellectual potential and nurtures them to be reflective, resilient and compassionate individuals. The education at Thalun International School prepares them not only to embrace challenges and become responsible citizens of our diverse global society but also to actively contribute to Myanmar’s development resulting in a positive impact.

According to the Vision and Mission statements, Thalun International School students are prepared to improve whatever community they are in, making good sense of their academic and creative abilities.

I want them to understand it so that they will be positioned to make it a better place.” In this respect, Educators of Thalun have embedded global competencies into their existing practices.

As the Director of Thalun International School, I believe that it is my responsibility to maintain and continue to build a supportive and collaborative spirit at our school. Together as a school community, we will build on the traditions of the past and meet the challenges of the future in innovative and exciting ways.
