Hello !
My students call me Teacher May.
I am Myanmar-born but was raised in Bangkok, Thailand and now reside in my home country. I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering from Assumption University, Bangkok in 2003. Before I changed my profession to teaching, I worked as an engineer in Bangkok for a year.
I have been teaching as a Homeroom teacher to pre-school and Primary levels for over 19 years at the various International schools. I am a certified and licensed teacher in Early Childhood Development by the Ministry of Social Welfare and Resettlement. I attended and participated in numerous trainings and workshops in Child Psychology, Diploma in TESOL (London Teacher Training College), Teacher Training, ELT conference, Teachers Exchange and Training (TexT) between educators in Myanmar and educators from Hawaii, USA and Basic First Aid Training Course by Red Cross, all of which have proved both crucial and beneficial to my professional life.
In my previous jobs, I was heavily involved in designing and developing curriculum for pre-school and primary levels. I am a very passionate teacher, and my second home is being with my students. I enjoy making arts and crafts, exploring new things, and traveling.
