Years of Teaching : 25

I have been teaching overseas for 20 years and 5 years in America. I have 25 years of teaching experience. I have taught all over the world to ESL students.  During each teaching experience, I feel that in every teaching experience, I grew as a teacher and always learned something new.

I feel that as a teacher we influence our students in many ways. They learn from us. They learn the subject matter content and skills. We give them a voice during teaching to ask questions and give their opinion on the topic we are teaching.  This empowers students to feel that what they have to say matters when we, as teachers, take the time to listen to their points of view.

I have taught Middle School/High School English/Social Studies/Global Politics/U.S. History/World History/MS Science and HS Biology.

My leadership experience began in the U.S. Military when I was a Commander in Iraq and Afghanistan. I have been a Grade Leader/Department Head/Dean of Academics and Dean of Students.
