Hi there, my name is Tom Dwyer. I am originally from the Bay Area of California, however, I have been an international school teacher for over 14 years now. I started my teaching career in Berkeley, California where I taught grades 3 and 5 as well as math and science resource teacher. I taught at a couple of other California schools until shifting overseas.

My first stop was Singapore, where I taught Grade 2 for two years. Then on to Indonesia for 8 years teaching grades 2, 3 and 4 as well as serving as vice principal for much of my time there as well. Most recently I have taught in Kurdistan, Iraq and currently Angola. I am a very active person, I love running, cycling, walking and hiking, so I am really looking forward to all the possibilities for exploring those activities in Yangon and beyond. I am also an avid gardener and reader. Most importantly I am a dog person and have a great love of dogs. I am very excited to be coming to Yangon and being a teacher at Thalun International School. I look forward to a fantastic year ahead and meeting wonderful people at Thalun International School.
